DD8 Music is putting on a headline gig in the Town Hall at this years folk festival and boy do we have a band for you! The Peatbog Faeries are one of the great Scottish festival bands. They are based in the Isle of Skye and play only instrumental compositions, but they have created a distinctive fusion, in which traditional influences are matched against anything from contemporary dance styles and funk to reggae and even echoes of African music. They have headlined at Glastonbury's Avalon stage and have twice been voted "Live Band of the Year" at the Scottish Live Music Awards. This promises to be gig not top be missed!

Tickets are available from the Kirriemuir Art Gallery, Sharp Music Forfar, Grouchos Dundee or online fromhttp://dd8music.brownpapertickets.com/

10/6/15  Bonfest 2016 will take place over three days on the May Day bank holiday weekend, from Friday 30th April to Sunday 1st May. Next year will mark the 10th anniversary of Bonfest, and we're planning the biggest & best one yet!

23/5/15 DD8 Music was invited down to Salford for the annual EPIC Awards for the voluntary arts on Thursday. We are very happy to announce that on the night we walked away with two prizes. We were runner up in the Scotland category and overall winner in the most exceptional youth project in UK and Ireland! We had a fantastic time at the ceremony in the BBC Media City, and it was great to hear about all the other amazing projects happening around the country.
