Tickets for Bonfest 2014 are now on sale through Ticketweb. Tickets are priced at £19.12 per night and can be found at the following links.

Friday 15th August, BACK:N:BLACK http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/event/111523

Saturday 16th August, THE BON SCOTT REVIVAL SHOW http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/event/111521

Sunday 17th August, THE CHRIS SLADE TIMELINE http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/event/111517

The £19.12 price includes £2.12 processing fees from Ticketweb that we have no control over. We have had to raise our ticket price to £17 this year though, up from last years £15. This is due to the council dropping the capacity of the Town Hall by 60 people due to fire regulations. This also unfortunately means that there will be less tickets available in total. As the festival has sold out for the past 4 years we would strongly advise buying your tickets as soon as possible.

Tickets will be also be available to buy locally from the Kirriemuir Art Gallery on Reform Street soon. The ticket price from there will be the basic £17 per night.

We would like to apologise for the increase in price. Bonfest is not run as a money-making event, and all the organisers are volunteers. The reason tickets have been so late going on sale is that we have been trying every means possible to keep the ticket prices as low as possible. We think we've got an incredible line up for you this year, that we hope you'll agree is worth the money.

DD8 Music is very happy to announce that the Belgian Artist Abdul Vas will design a special poster for the Bon Scott Revival Show concert for this years Bonfest. Abdul is an amazing artist and one of his most important piece of art is a sculpture that the artist has made of marble from Carrara (Italy) which weighs 1500 kilos, and was made to celebrate the 40th anniversary of AC/DC.

Places to stay

We have compiled a list of Hotels in the area, but if you need more info just drop us an email

OK folks, here's an update on accommodation  plans for this year. We know there is a real problem with getting accommodation in Kirriemuir itself. There is a list of hotels and B&bs in the area below.
As well as those we are looking at another few options.

CAMPING
We had looked at setting up a temporary campsite this year, however we failed to get the additional grant funding we were looking for to make this happen. This meant that the costs of setting up a temporary site were just too much.

There is a small campsite just outside Kirrie though, at Drumshademuir:

Email - holidays@drumshademuir.co.uk
Website - www.drumshademuir.com

They have 15 pitches, and if enough people take them we can look at arranging a minibus for you to get you back and from the gigs.

We have also been offered the use of the Scout Hall in Kirriemuir. This would involve everyone sleeping on the floor in the hall, so it would be very basic, but would be dry, warm and there are clean toilet facilities. We would look at having some sort of secure storage in the hall. We would be offering this at a minimum cost, as a cheap option. We need to gauge interest in this too see if it would be worthwhile though, so if it is something you would like please email dd8music@hotmail.co.uk with your details.

HOTELS
This year we are going to run buses back and forth from the Premier Inn North in Dundee. This is one of the cheapest hotels in Dundee, is ideal for those traveling by road, and is only a short taxi ride away from the train station and airport. Dundee is a small city too, so if you would rather stay at another hotel it's not difficult to get to. We need to know numbers for the bus, so when you have booked a room can you please email dd8music@hotmail.co.uk with the details of your party.

Also feel free to email or message us here if you have any other questions about accommodation. We'll make sure everyone finds somewhere to stay!
